Description
StudiO2 is a cozy, renovated rooftop apartment in the historic village center of Ename. There is a separate bedroom with double bed, bathroom with shower, kitchen and very spacious living room. Ideal starting point for hikes and cycling or mountain biking in the Flemish Ardennes (numerous routes in the immediate vicinity). Near the Forest 't Ename and the archaeological site / museums. Center Oudenaarde at 10' cycling. Baker and good eateries (also take-away) within walking distance.
Space: StudiO2 is located in the attic of our spacious family home. Through a separate, lockable staircase in our garage you reach the apartment. There is a separate bedroom with a box spring for 2 persons, followed by a bathroom with shower. In the spacious living room there is a (sleeping) sofa, cozy armchairs and a large desk. There is also a new kitchen with all amenities to cook your own meal. Furthermore, there is a separate toilet, a smaller sitting area and a balcony.
Crib, changing pad, high chair, relax... can be provided with great pleasure.
Bicycles can be stored safely and dry in our garage.
StudiO2 was renovated in 2020 and is therefore brand new. Only the staircase still needs to be painted :-)
Location: Our house is situated on a beautiful square in the historic center of Ename, a place that breathes history. Here you will find the Provincial Archaeological Museum (across the street from our house), the beautiful St. Laurentius Church (the bells of which can be heard), the 18th century Beaucarne House, the archaeological park and the Provincial Heritage Centre (500m).
In the immediate vicinity there are numerous possibilities for the active nature lover: walking (we are located at node 24 of the Zwalm Valley walking network and at the starting point of the Nature Point Walk in Forest 't Ename), cycling routes (several hills of the Tour of Flanders are nearby, but also possibilities for 'flat' courses), mountain biking, climbing and water sports on and around the Donkvijver (The Outsider and Absolut Surfclub) ...
You can discover even more natural beauty in the nature reserve 't Burreken (Brakel-Schorisse), the woods in Ronse, Brakel, Kluisbergen or just across the language border in the beautiful Pays des Collines.
We will gladly help you make a choice!
Oudenaarde (4km) is a stone's throw away (beautiful cycle route along the Scheldt), but also Ronse (14km) or Ghent (30km) are easily accessible (by car, train or bicycle).
Hungry? There are two bakeries within walking distance and a supermarket (AD Delhaize) at 2km. Don't feel like cooking? We are happy to share with you our favorite places to eat in the neighborhood (also take-away possible).
We live in the same house and are available if needed. We will be happy to give you tips for trips, hiking or biking and delicious places to eat in the neighborhood!
Extra welcome to moms who want to spend a weekend on their own. I know from experience that the threshold is sometimes high to get somewhere on your own. I will welcome you with warmth and understanding!
