The non-profit organization M.U.T. with its outlets in Vienna and Salzburg was created in the year 2005 by a colorful collective of involved people. It has had a big impact on the social situation of two of Austria’s biggest and most popular cities. The team takes care of the ones in need and the belittled people, both in everyday situations and in times of struggle. The centerpiece is helping the homeless with the project „yes we care“, the family housing projects, food rescue and distribution as well as the open space for events of any kind. What separates M.U.T. from others is the un-bureaucratic, sustainable and efficient way of help that targets those who need it quickly and directly. The organization is economically and politically independent and finances itself almost exclusively through donations, coming mainly from over 19.000 private donors.
