We welcome you to our country house, a place steeped in the stories of our family, nestled between the hills of San Martino Alfieri, among the vineyards and the perched villages of the Langhe and Roero, UNESCO heritage lands.



Our suite with private terrace, the Monterosa room, offers a view of the private garden of the Granda – curated by Sandro –, the countryside of San Martino and the valleys of the surrounding area, and the opportunity to sit in the cool enjoying the quiet of the hills and the breeze of the hill on which our B&B is located.



Our rooms were initially designed to accommodate family and friends, and retain that genuine character now that we have opened them to our guests. All equipped with private bathroom with shower, wrought iron beds, comfortable wardrobes and views of the landscapes surrounding the Granda (Monviso and Monterosa).

We always advise our guests to forget about emails, social media and smartphones for a few days, but we still provide a free Wi-Fi connection, especially designed to allow you to prepare your itinerary among the local beauties.



The B&B La Granda is pleased to welcome smokers on the terrace, on the panoramic balcony and in its large garden.



We live in the house next to the B&B: we always welcome our guests in person and we personally take care of breakfast and make your stay as close as possible to an authentic family experience.



Nadia, retired English teacher, was born in the hills of San Martino Alfieri and with that generous land that has always been in her heart. Sandro, a banker with a passion for good things as it once was, renovations and DIY in the open air. Forty years of marriage, two children scattered around the world, and the desire to rediscover the rhythms and places of a past time.



In 2007 we undertook the renovation of Nadia's old family home, the walls where her great-grandmother – the 'granda' – entertained the family with the stories told in the heat of the stable, now our breakfast room.



Generations and voices that still resonate among the rooms of our B & B, memories of hands that have built and cared for those places over the years, working the land, taking care of the family, starting from Nadia's great-grandmother up to her mother, Ines, who was born and raised in this house and who used to return here every summer, to breathe the good air of his childhood.



When we decided to open the house to our guests we immediately thought of them, our ancestors, of their sense of hospitality, typical of those who have little yet offer so much. Times have changed, but we hope that the spirit that animates our company has remained the same – that's why we decided to call the B&B 'La Granda': in honor of all the grandmothers who followed one another between these walls and who taught us the art of hospitality with the heart
