The B & B "La Chicca in the center of Altamura" is located in the heart of the ancient city, a few steps from the cathedral of Frederick II of Swabia, unique in its kind. It is a few meters from the historic "Palazzo Baldassarre" and a few kilometers from Gravina in Puglia and Matera, European Capital of Culture 2019, it is also 46 km from Bari-Palese airport 8nearest airport), 10 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from the public transport stop to Matera and Bari.
"La Chicca in centro" is located in a nineteenth-century residence, completely renovated, welcoming and refined. The rooms are treated in detail and thanks to the natural wood furnishings, the play of light, the terracotta floors and the "star arches", typical of the place, make pleasant and relaxing stays for couples and families.
The B&B has a small terrace, free Wi-Fi, bathroom with complimentary toiletries, shower, hair dryer, mini-bar fridge, relaxation area with sofa, table and chairs. It is possible to request a shuttle service to - and from the Bari-Palese airport, as well as room service on request. An Italian breakfast is served daily with a focus on allergies and intolerances. The homestay is in an area where cycling can be enjoyed.
