The IRAZUNE apartment is located in Asteasu (Basque Country), a town of 1,500 inhabitants located on the slopes of Mount Ernio. Together with the small towns of Aduna, Zizurkil, Alkiza and Larraul it forms the so-called Aitzondo valley. It is the place where the writer Bernardo Atxaga was inspired to create the literary geography of "Obaba" and where you can discover unusual landscapes, smells and sounds.



In the forest that runs along the Usarrabi River, in the rural neighborhood of Upazan, among the hamlets of the village, in those and in other places of Asteasu, an ancient perfume endures. The Basque language, Basque, has a great presence. However, in half an hour you can be located in San Sebastian, Zarautz or the Navarrese Leitza. You can go to the city, stroll along the coast, or take a walk around Mount Ernio.



The town, although small, is well equipped with services: Health Center, pharmacy, Kutxabank Cashier, shops, butchers, cafeteria, restaurant, etc. You can also transfer by BUS to the nearby Villabona where the train station is located, with free parking for cars.



The apartment has been completely renovated and is located on the first floor of the Irazune house, a stone building located in the center of Asteasu and already mentioned in a Census of the year 1688.
