Bordering Tuscany with spectacular sweeping views across forests and olive groves through the Tiber Valley towards the Apennine mountains the recently renovated cottage is tranquil yet just a short walk from the historic, lively town centre. Famed for its stunning red brick palazzo's, churches, frescos, restaurants, artisan stores & festivals.

Here days can be spent relaxing or exploring the Umbria and Tuscany's famed cities, vineyards, thermal spas or cookery schools, many being just a short drive or train-ride away.



From the outside this picturesque, historic cottage made of Città della Pieve's famed red brick retains its ancient character, but the inside, following a full renovation in 2022 offers a modern, spacious, open plan format which makes it the perfect place for family or friends to gather, or a couples romantic getaway.



Set over one floor with a full chefs kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge with its Scan, egg shaped wood burner make the interior especially appealing during springtime. Whilst from June our guests can also enjoy a refreshing dip in our 4x2 meter above-ground saltwater pool or drench under the outdoor solar shower.



The cottage, gardens and pool are private and for the exclusive use of our guests.



Throughout the cottage large, south facing windows flood the rooms with light and offer uninterrupted views of the spectacular countryside bringing to mind the famed landscapes of the artist Perugino. Whilst inside, interesting original artwork featuring scenes from around Italy is on display.



Another comfort is the modern bathroom with powerful rain shower and spacious bedrooms with integrated phone charging stations, blackout shutters, plenty of closet space and high quality linens.



Dining al' fresco on the large infinity terrace is another perk of the property with the easy to use Weber BBQ system and spacious, travertine dining area. Or perhaps during the cooler months (November-March) snuggle up with throws and blankets to roast chestnuts beside the pot bellied garden stove immersed in the beautiful colours of the changing landscape.



The Cottage sits on the crest of a hill and its large private garden offers various comfortable seating areas in sunny and shaded outlooks where you can while away the hours in comfort with a good book. Whilst the elevated terrace garden with birchwood swing seat is the perfect place for either an aperitivo at sunset, or at sunrise for meditative yoga or pilates to the sound of birdsong as the valley awakes.

Smoking is permitted in the Cottage gardens.
