Description
Situated on a hill above Camaiore, immersed in the green and with views on the sea, Artistshill- and house are an oasis of tranquility and peace.
The apartment is 50sqm and it's terrace 40sqm and while Maurizio and me live in the same house, you will enjoy maximum privacy.
You enter the apartment from own loggia and step into a small entrance with wardrobe. From there you access either the spacious bedroom with a double bed, cabinet and office or the combined kitchen-livingroom or the bathroom with double-sink and big glass shower-cabin.
Both bedroom and livingroom access the terrace. The kitchen is small but has everything necessary for your own cooking plus a big fridge/freezer.
The sofa can open to an additional double-bed and there is a big empty cabinet for your use.
Everything is furnished the way I live and all is full of art and books. It is an old house in rustic style and the big walls on your floor keep it cool in summer.
New feature is a big moskito-tent on the terrace which makes it possible to sleep outside - for nature-lovers only!
From here it is 5 minutes by car down to Camaiore for shopping, or up to Pedona with its stunning views and bar and restaurant. The nearest beach is 7km, Pietrasanta is very close and Lucca is 25 minutes by car. Long wild beach south of Viareggio is our personal favourite and for hiking in the Apuan Alps I can provide maps and suggestions for day-hikes.
One year ago I bought the adjacent olivegrove and land with small buildings where now are my sculpture studios and where you are welcome to some creative experience on your own

Swiss born with a little italian blood, I now live and work in northern Tuscany since 1991! After completing my sculpture-studies in Carrara I moved to Camaiore and have since then lived as a freelance sculptor, often and regularly travelling to Switzerland for exhibiting my work.
I live in this house here on Artist'shill since 20 years and more and two years ago I was able to buy the adjacent property which made my dream come through and be able to move my studio home, plus adding farming and organic gardening to my activities.
Maurizio, a local welder lives with me and Alaska the sheep-dog and Sahel the siamese cat
