Moinho do Marco is a house created in a windmill built in 1855.



The mill is perfect for romantic getaways and offers one of the best views of the Sado Estuary and Setúbal Bay, belonging to the restricted Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World since November 2002.



It is located in the Natural Park of Arrábida, which has about 23,000 hectares that are considered natural reserve, but the city of Setúbal with its restaurants, beaches, the free-of-food market... is less than a 5-minute drive away!



Moinho do Marco was awarded the Green Key award in June 2022. We work permanently to be more sustainable and minimize our ecological footprint.



The mill has a circular shape and is divided into 4 floors joined by a stone staircase. The room is on the upper floor, where the original beams and entrosga are still suspended from the ceiling. A white mosquito net converts the large bed of 160x200 cm into a nest where to give wings to romanticism, and the views from the 3 windows of the room, are magnificent. From the room we start down the stairs and find the mezzanine, a space with little height where you will find two chairs and a table with a lamp, ideal to read a book, drink a tea or be talking in an intimate space below the huge wooden beams also dating from 1855. We continue down the stone staircase and reach the ground floor, where space has been used to install a living room with sofas, a dining table with chairs, and a kitchenette. From this space we can go down to the bathroom, which was excavated in the rock but with natural light achieved through small skylights.



The exterior offers a large space with 360º of views of the Bay of Setúbal, the peninsula of Troy, Comporta, the Vincentian coast, Sines, Moorish, Palmela and the Serra de São Luís... a permanent spectacle!



The terrace features a balcony with barbecue facilities for exclusive use, a solar shower, garden furniture.
