Description
Hendre Ddu Cottage is a stunning solar panel powered off grid self catering holiday home in the Snowdonia National Park, Wales. The unique setting within the Dyfi forest, accessed by forestry roads, provides beautiful views from every window. The truly dark skies at night are perfect for stargazing and there are miles of traffic free walks from the door where you rarely see another person.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and a twin. It can accommodate up to 6 guests while still being cosy for couples.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas range cooker, and a snug living room with a woodburner. Two bathrooms, one downstairs one upstairs.
Up to 4 dogs stay free and we can often take more on request. There are no restrictive rules and they can go anywhere inside.
The cottage has ¾ acre fully enclosed private grounds with a decked seating area.
Welcome treats for humans and dogs. All linens provided. Remote feeling, yet with a choice of 3 dog friendly pubs within easy reach

I live in beautiful West Wales not far from our lovely holiday cottage. I grow food and flowers and love to spend time with my animals, a dog, cat and chickens. In addition I am the rescue coordinator for the Eurasier Society UK and volunteer on a group for reactive dogs. I love nature and the outdoors in fact I can't stand being inside for very long no matter what the weather brings.
Being local to the area, I do all the work at the cottage myself and am happy to provide advice and recommendations. Hendre Ddu cottage is my only holiday home and very much loved. I have worked hard to make it as comfortable and welcoming as possible while keeping the authentic feel of a Welsh quarry workers home dating back to 1873
