Description
El Retiro is in a remote and peaceful location, within 15 minutes drive of the traditional Spanish town of Algarinejo. The host, Francesca is an artist and has lovingly restored this charming old Cortijo. There is a natural swimming pool where you can swim surrounded by lilies and plants and watch the visiting birds and dragonflies. The perfect location for nature lovers, hikers, star gazers, yoga and art retreats, family and friends gatherings and for those who want to escape from their busy lives to just relax. There are 6 bedrooms in the Cortijo, with 4 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, living room with tv and a roof terrace for dining and wifi throughout. A large yoga studio / family room is also available. The property is set in a private olive grove with beautiful walks and views.
El Retiro is situated on an uneven track which may cause problems for cars with very low ground clearance and should be driven slowly. There is no public transport nearby.
El Retiro is an hour and a half's drive from Malaga and Granada and two hours from Cordoba so right in the middle of the 'Golden Triangle'

I am an artist and love sharing this unique corner of paradise with others. My aim is to make your stay as relaxing as possible. I will be on hand should you need anything during your stay and will be maintaining the garden and natural pool. I will also give you privacy and make sure that you are not disturbed unnecessarily. I have spent many years lovingly restoring this traditional Cortijo. You will find a few quirky touches, such as sculptures in the gardens and paintings in the rooms
