A large porch welcomes those who approach this farmhouse in Vitorchiano. It is an ancient farm among olive trees, which has been preserved almost completely intact, without upheavals, precisely because it is in a secluded position, about 2.5 km from the village of Vitorchiano, one of the most beautiful in Italy. On the ground floor there were originally the stables, while the upper floor, overlooking the porch with a series of aligned, square and small windows to protect from the cold of winter, as well as a large terrace, was intended for farmers. The renovation that transformed it into the current welcoming home, was done respecting the original perimeter, and all the renovations, from the roof to the flooring, were made with recycled materials of the place.

Crossing the lawn that faces the house you descend towards a terracing of the land where a swimming pool has been created. The shape of the pool follows the profile of the garden and, on one side is an infinity of the terracotta flooring, while on the other the edge is almost overlooking the valley, thus giving the impression of overlooking infinity.

Entering the house you immediately notice a large passing fireplace, rebuilt on the trace of a pre-existing fireplace that divides the dining room from the living room. Formerly used to heat the two rooms at the same time, today the fireplace helps to create that sense of continuity between the spaces also underlined by the arched passages in the walls. The terracotta floor and the exposed beams of the wooden ceiling are well linked with the antique and at the same time refined furniture of the whole house: antique vases, antique lamps and, right above the fireplace, nineteenth-century dishes. The walls, plastered in rustic, reflect the beige color, soft and warm, of the exterior, so typical in the local tradition. Only in the kitchen, next to the peperino stone fireplace, stands out the color of the travertine marble tiles which, together with the romantic embroidered curtains, seems to frame the window overlooking the greenery.

The whole area is subject to severe landscape and archaeological constraints, just think of the last stretch of unpaved road that dates back to Etruscan times, which connected the upper Tuscia Viterbo to Orviet
