Presentation

Dimora San Quirico is our place of the heart, located in the picturesque square of the Marinelli district in the splendid territory of Cisternino, one of the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy in the most beautiful Valle d'Itria. Cisternino is only 3 kilometers away and in a few minutes you can reach the most famous tourist resorts such as Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Ostuni, Polignano, Monopoli ..... At most it will take you twenty minutes traveling by car between dry stone walls, trulli and casedde, ancient olive trees and incredible views.

Being on holiday here means diving into a place out of time.... But did you know that kids still play in the street here? That here you can still hear the Argentine sound of the bell ringed by hand by the sacristan of the small church for Sunday morning Mass? It is that small country village where you go out for a walk and everyone smiles at you and greets you even if they do not know you. It is that magical place where even the colors are brighter and clearer ... The sky is a turquoise that cannot be described and that opens your heart, the earth is a red / brown that tastes of fertility. Descending towards the marina, the centuries-old olive trees, witnesses of two millennia of life and hardworking people in spite of the drought of this land, still give their precious fruits while they are admired in all their majesty.

We want to share with our guests what surrounds us and the wonder we enjoy, so we have renovated our holiday home respecting the ancient traditions of stone, iron and lime processing with an eye above all to the environment, comfort and technology. We go to great lengths to make the impact of our home as environmentally friendly as possible. We have banned plastic in favor of glass, used all the techniques for energy saving, using LED lamps and inserting sensors that deactivate electricity and air conditioning when the guest is not in the room. The whole structure is powered by electricity produced by photovoltaic panels positioned on the terrace. As for water consumption, we still use rainwater that is conveyed from the roof to a large underground cistern for garden uses, while for washing laundry, we ask our guests a "conscious" use of towels. All linen is washed and sanitized on site with the use of detergents on tap and environmentally friendly. All analyses were performed for the presence of possible radon gas. We also have a charging station for electric vehicles.

Our house has a lovely garden furnished and equipped with Jacuzzi and swimming pool. But can you imagine how you are lying on the bed in the shade of an olive tree with the sun peeking through the branches moved by that pleasant summer breeze and accompanied by the melody of birds and swallows? It cannot be described.

Breakfast is served outdoors with homemade food at zero kilometer: jams are homemade with fruits from our trees! bread and yogurt even if there is no shortage of traditional croissants for the most tied to their habits.

Our house has 4 bedrooms, two doubles with access from inside the house and two quadruples with independent access, each dedicated to a famous Italian character known in the world and so, in the embarrassment and difficulties of the choice we dedicated the room to Dante Alighieri, Federico II, Leonardo da Vinci and Giacomo Leopardi
