The "Bauta" was the ancient mask that hid the identity of the nobles who participated in the home parties planned in the patrician palaces during the sinful Venetian Carnival.

Ca' Bauta was once the palace of the nobles called "Muazzo", an ancient family of merchants from the island of Torcello and is today the elegant guest house in the heart of Venice, located in an area where ancient times influence everyday life, perfect for understanding the delicate balance between light and shadow, lightness and heaviness, earth and water, which has governed the rhythm of Venice for centuries.
