Pieve Sant'Angelo is a small family-run accommodation facility, obtained from the restoration and arrangement of an old country house still inhabited by the owners.
Inside there are four double bedrooms, all with private bathroom, and two other bedrooms, one double and one twin, with shared bathroom. The style is simple, but elegant and welcoming, recalling the soft and comfortable atmosphere of the lived houses, where period furnishings are combined with contemporary accessories and large abstract canvases coexist with austere nineteenth-century portraits.
Easily accessible from the main roads, Pieve Sant'Angelo, is located in the heart of Umbria, equidistant from Spoleto and Foligno, a few kilometers from the major tourist centers of Umbria: Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Orvieto, Montefalco, Bevagna, Trevi, Spello ...
Surrounded by greenery, among the branches of the "sacred river Clitumnus", with the famous Tempietto del Clitunno, an exceptional and controversial monument today a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which watches over the valley from above, guests can enjoy extraordinary peace and tranquility.
Pieve Sant'Angelo borrows its name from the Pieve di S. Michele Arcangelo or S. Angelo in Capite, which together with the baptistery of S. Giovanni Battista and the aforementioned Tempietto del Clitunno were to constitute one of the most important Umbrian religious centers in the early Middle Ages.
Of the ancient Pieve, it is preserved, inside the house, a large piece of masonry in squared stone ashlars with the presence of a splayed window.
